Erik Dugas Wins U.S. Open Local Qualifying Tournament at Waikoloa Kings’ Course

WAIKOLOA, HI – Waikoloa Beach Resort hosted the local U.S. Open qualifier today at the Kings’ Course. Erik Dugas of Waikoloa finished the 18‐hole round with a two‐under par score of 70, four shots better than Stephen Perry of Kamuela. Erik will represent the Big Island in the sectional qualifying during the first week of June. The 111th U.S. Open will be held at Congressional Country Club, June 16 – 19, 2011.

Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, the Par 72 Waikoloa Kings’ Course is a Scottish‐links style layout featuring numerous pot bunkers, undulating fairways, multiple tee placements and lava outcroppings throughout.
